Storax Interiors & Davicon worked in partnership, within timescales and budgets, to create this new stunning print design & manufacture ring headquarters. Amongst the challenges faced were huge loads imposed through the steel structure due to high density tall storage installation at first floor. This required the careful coordination of a multi trade team.
Storax & Davicon dovetailed with a piling contractor to disperse massive axial loads through the floor slab to the sub-soil. Furthermore, a highly efficient production facility on the ground floor could not be interrupted with unnecessary obstructions. The resulting structure was completely bespoke with larger spans and sunken base plates. The mezzanine floor enabled the client to almost double the usable space in their building. It turn, this allowed expansion in storage, personnel facilities, break out areas, offices, reception and production. All at a far lower cost than buying an industrial unit of double the size.
In our opinion, Davicon has proven to be market-leading in the service and products they offer. This gives us every confidence when selling to our end-user client base.
