Overview

One of our valued trade customers contacted us to discuss a particularly difficult project that required our technical assistance and design for one of their customers who specialise in ventilation and heating solutions.

Challenge

The floor had to be designed around the customers CNC room and production conveyor which was integral to the operation of the business, therefore resulting in a requirement of large single spans to avoid the machinery whilst working with the constraints of the floor slab.

Solution

We initial provided a drawing with the column layout along with the foundation reactions to highlight the axial loads being imposed on the floor slab, to see whether these met with the customers requirement and also within the floor slabs capabilities. Both requirements were met, which allowed Davicon to launch into manufacture.
