Davicon accredited with CE marking certificate

The construction industry has been facing one of the most significant changes in recent times.

CE Marking for all construction products, covered by a harmonised European standard or conforming to a European Technical Assessment became mandatory from 1st July 2013, in accordance with the legal requirements of the Construction Products Regulations (CPR).

From the 1st July 2014, this legal requirement will also apply for all fabricated structural steelwork that is delivered to site. This represents a major change in statutory legislation and as such demands careful attention to the new obligations imposed upon both the manufacturer and those who specify the product as the penalties for non compliance, as a minimum, could result in the issue of suspension or prohibition notices by Trading Standards Officers.

Following an intensive independent audit by BSI of our Management and Factory Production processes, Davicon are pleased to confirm that we have been granted CE Certification in accordance with the requirements of EN 1090 which is the Harmonised Technical Standard applicable to fabricated structural steelwork.

As a result, all of our Clients will have the assurance, backed up by the issue of formal job specific CE Marked Documentation, that all mezzanine floors supplied by Davicon satisfy the statutory requirements of the Construction Products Regulations
